Second International ULEAD Conference on Applied Linguistics, hosted by İnönü University, will be held at Turgut Özal Kongre Kültür Merkezi (Turgut Özal Centre for Cultural Activities), on October 11-12, 2018.
Second International ULEAD Conference on Applied Linguistics aims to bring together educators, practitioners, and researchers who are interested in languages, language learning and teaching at all levels from all around the world. The theme of the conference is "Relating Research to Practice in Applied Linguistics". Proposals for presentations are invited on the following - but not limited to - themes;
•Language, communication and the professions
•Linguistic and semiotic aspects of professional expertise
•Use of lingua franca in professional encounters
•Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in professional contexts
•Multimodality in professional practice
•Professional practice, discourse and the new media
•Translation and professional practice
•The role of interpreting in professional encounters
•Language and reflexivity in the professions
•Linguistic training for professionals
•Professional practice and communication in the age of globalisation
•Language and institutional demands in professional contexts
•Professional practice and discourse in the East and in the West
We invite scholars from all over the world who would like to share their scientific studies to participate the conference in order to maximize the scientific and social interaction. The working languages of the conference will be English.

We would like to announce that accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings E-Book as full-text and will be evaluated for publication in the following journals:
